“… the irritation had practically gone and by the end of that week, my eye felt completely back to normal.”
March 2011
I felt that I must write down how the Re-Vital Eyes drops helped me with a very irritating problem that I experienced last November.
On Monday 22nd November 2010, I felt like I had something in my right eye all day, by that evening, as it was still there, I realised that it was obviously more than that. I started using the drops that evening and continued to use them, but unfortunately I was only managing to remember to apply them about three or four times a day.
By the Wednesday, it was worse and I had a large “floater” trapped in my eye; it was like a large “feather” in my eye, which was very annoying and irritating. I was also getting a bit concerned in case there was a serious problem with my eye. I was fortunate enough to get an appointment with the opticians that Friday afternoon and he confirmed my suspicions of what it was. There is a thick “gelly” surrounding the retina to protect it, but as you get older, it sometimes thins and spreads into the eye; as you are not used to this sensation, it feels like you constantly have something in your eye. The “feathery floater” that I had, was just a piece of debris trapped in the gelly.
The optician confirmed that this condition was not harmful in any way, but sadly there is no cure, but that “I would get used to it in time”. I knew that I would NEVER get used to that feeling; it was not only very uncomfortable, it was difficult to concentrate on the computer or watching TV etc., in fact I felt so miserable that I didn’t really feel like doing ANYTHING.
As I was going away for a “Pamper Day” with a friend the following Tuesday and Wednesday and couldn’t imagine enjoying my treat feeling like this, I decided to “practise what I preach” and use the drops more often, as recommended. I religiously used them every couple of hours or so, about eight or more times a day, I even put a drop in after I had been to the bathroom in the night, one of our customers does that to make sure that she gets her full eye drop daily quota, as she is out a lot during the day; so thanks to her for that tip.
By the following Tuesday, I was very pleased, as the irritation had practically gone and by the end of that week, my eye felt completely back to normal. I continued administering the drops as often as I could for another couple of weeks or so, then as my eye still seemed fine, I reduced the dose gradually down to a maintenance one, which I am still using daily, of just one drop before I go to sleep. Some days, if my eyes feel sore and tired from being on the computer for long periods, I increase the dose slightly. I have also been treating my left eye, which fortunately did NOT have the problem, as a preventative measure only.
Please do not hesitate to contact me if you would like further information regarding my experience with the eye drops.
